Ozone UV Lamp life expectancy

I'm wondering of turning an Ozone UV lamp on and off significantly effects it's life expectancy?

I have two applications where due to low volume use the sterilization process is only required occassionally.
In one case, maybe a few hours a day. In another, maybe only a one day out of ten.
